When describing natural processes or scientific phenomena, the zero conditional shows how one event inevitably leads to another. This builds on our earlier work with universal truths, but focuses specifically on the chain of events that occur.
Multiple-Step Cause and Effect
Sometimes, one condition can trigger a series of effects. The zero conditional can link these events: If ice melts, water forms, and if water heats up, it evaporates.
