Planning the Team Meeting

Speaker: Frank Thompson

Role: Office Worker

Context

Frank tells a coworker about arranging a meeting with Bill in the office break room

Short Story

Let me tell you about my talk with Bill today. I saw him in the break room this morning. We needed to arrange a team meeting for next week. Bill said, ‘How about Monday at 10?’ I looked at my schedule and said no. Monday was not good for me.

Then Bill said, ‘Let’s try to find a better time.’ I checked my calendar again. ‘I am going to be free on Tuesday afternoon,’ I told him. Bill looked happy and said, ‘That will work for me too!’

We needed to discuss many important things at the meeting. Bill and I agreed that two hours was good. ‘Shall we meet at 2 PM?’ Bill asked. I said yes. Then Bill said he will send an email to everyone today.

So now we have a plan. The meeting is going to be next Tuesday at 2 PM. We will talk about the new project then. Bill and I are happy because it was easy to arrange the time. Now I just need to get my papers ready for the meeting.
