Dear Jenny,
I hope you don’t mind me writing such a long email, but I really need to get some things off my chest. You know how my boss keeps trying to micromanage everything? I wish he wouldn’t constantly check on me every hour. It’s driving me crazy! I wish I had a more spacious workspace – this tiny cubicle is intolerable. And my colleague Marco – I wish he wasn’t always talking so loudly on his phone. It’s incessantly distracting!
At home, things aren’t much better. I wish my neighbor would stop playing drums at midnight. I wish I was living in a quieter neighborhood. This perpetual noise is affecting my sleep.
I know I’m probably being tedious with all these complaints, but sometimes it helps just to write them down. I wish people were more mindful of others around them.
Thanks for listening,
Paolo

Paolo drafting an email about office conditions to HR
Paolo: “I wish to bring to your attention our workspace concerns.”
Jenny: “Of course, Paolo. What specific issues would you like to discuss?”
Paolo: “Our current office isn’t spacious enough for the team. I wish we had more room.”
Jenny: “I understand. How is this affecting your work?”
Paolo: “The perpetual noise and lack of space make concentration impossible.”
Jenny: “I see. And how long has this been an issue?”
Paolo: “It’s been incessantly problematic since the team expanded last month.”
Jenny: “Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’ll look into possible solutions.”
