Metaphor Idiom Investigation With Story
Let me tell you about my crazy week at work. It started on Monday, and it was raining cats and dogs. I felt under the weather, but I went to work anyway.
Tom was not happy that day. He came into the office with a face like thunder. Our big project had some problems. Mike said we will weather the storm, but it was hard.
Then I learned something about Tom. He is a fair-weather friend! When things are good, he is nice. But when things are bad, he runs away.
I am happy I was saving for a rainy day. The project needed more money. I used my savings to help fix the problems.
Yesterday, we saw a break in the clouds. The project started to work better. Tom came back and said sorry. Mike was very happy with my work.
Now I am on cloud nine! The boss gave me a bonus. The rain stopped, and the sun is out. Things at work are good now.
It rained heavily all week, but good things happened. Sometimes bad weather brings good news. I will remember this week for a long time.
