The Trip

Story One: My Regular Business Trips

I often make business trips to different countries. First, I check my schedule for the next month. I look at my itinerary and write down all the important dates. Then I start the booking process for my flights and hotels.

I always book my flights online. I choose the best times and prices. After I finish the booking, I wait for my confirmation email. I print the confirmation and put it in my travel folder. I also check if I need a visa for the country. Some countries need a visa and some do not. If I need a visa, I apply for it early.

Next, I buy travel insurance for every trip. Travel insurance is important because problems can happen. This means if something bad happens, the insurance helps me. I always make a reservation at a good hotel near the client office. I call the hotel and they send me a confirmation email too.

Before I travel, I pack my suitcase carefully. I put my business clothes, my laptop, and my documents in my suitcase. I check my itinerary again and make a list of all my meetings. I also prepare my presentation materials.

On the day before I leave, I check everything at home. I make sure all the windows are closed. I locked up the house and leave the keys with my neighbor. This means I close all the doors with locks and make everything safe. Then I take a taxi to the airport.

At the airport, I check in and show my confirmation and passport. I go through security and wait at the gate. On the plane, I read my meeting notes and relax. When I arrive, I take my suitcase from baggage claim. I go to my hotel and check my reservation. The receptionist is always friendly and helpful.

The next morning, I wake up early and prepare for my meetings. I check my schedule one more time. I take a taxi to the client office. My meetings usually go well. After work, I sometimes have dinner with my clients at a nice restaurant. At the end of the trip, I fly home. I feel tired but happy.
