Winter is cold. Sometimes it rains or snows. We need special clothes to stay warm and dry.

In winter, we wear warm clothes. A coat keeps our body warm. A jacket is shorter than a coat. We wear gloves on our hands because our fingers get cold. We wear a scarf around our neck. A hat keeps our head warm. These clothes protect us from the cold wind and rain.

Some people do winter sports. They go skiing in the mountains. They go walking in cold places. These people need special clothes. They wear waterproof jackets. 2 Everyday Winter Wear and Layers

3 Specialist Gear for Skiing and Winter Sports
