A balanced opinion feature examining the risks and benefits of dietary supplements, the role of social media influencers in health communication, and the limits of current regulation — used to develop C1 argumentation, hedging, and discursive register.

Learning objectives:
• Identify and produce concessive argument structures ('and yet', 'that said', 'even so') to express nuanced positions without flattening complexity to a simple 'but'
• Use and explain key domain vocabulary accurately in spoken discussion: appeal to nature fallacy, peer-reviewed, paternalism, accountability, false binary, autonomy
• Distinguish between fact, opinion, concession, and implication in a discursive text and reproduce these moves in extended spoken turns
• Discuss health, regulation, and media trust using hedged language and modal expressions ('might have', 'is widely seen as', 'is considered') without overstating claims
• Employ nominalization and appositive structures to speak with greater economy and register precision
