Paolo: “It’s becoming intolerable. I wish she would trust us to manage our own tasks.”
Maria: “Have you noticed how she checks our progress incessantly? I wish we had more autonomy.”

2 The Email –

Dear Jenny,

I hope you don’t mind me writing such a long email, but I really need to get some things off my chest. You know how my boss keeps trying to micromanage everything? I wish he wouldn’t constantly check on me every hour. It’s driving me crazy! I wish I had a more spacious workspace – this tiny cubicle is intolerable. And my colleague Marco – I wish he wasn’t always talking so loudly on his phone. It’s incessantly distracting!

At home, things aren’t much better. I wish my neighbor would stop playing drums at midnight. I wish I was living in a quieter neighborhood. This perpetual noise is affecting my sleep.

I know I’m probably being tedious with all these complaints, but sometimes it helps just to write them down. I wish people were more mindful of others around them.

Thanks for listening,
Paolo

Jenny: “I understand. How is this affecting your work?”
Paolo: “The perpetual noise and lack of space make concentration impossible.”
