When we work on projects, we need to talk about deadlines and our progress. These words help us tell others when work will finish and if we are on time. We use them to say if we need more time or if we can finish early.

progress

💬 Dialogue 1: Checking Project Progress

Team meeting in the office

Tom: “Is the report due today?”
Sara: “Yes, but I need to put it back one day.”
Tom: “Why do you need more time?”
Sara: “I need to check the numbers again.”
Tom: “OK, but please remember to send it tomorrow.”
Sara: “Yes, I will send it by 3 PM tomorrow.”
Tom: “Good. Do you need any help?”
