When we talk about things we did regularly in the past, we use the Past Simple. These are actions that happened repeatedly but don't happen anymore.

How to Form Past Habits

Use past simple (verb + ed or irregular form) + time expressions like 'always,' 'every day,' 'usually,' or 'often' in the past.

We always walked to school when we were young.This shows a regular action that happened in the past but doesn't happen now

Common Mistakes to Avoid

❌ Incorrect: We were walking to school every day.

✅ Correct: We walked to school every day.

Explanation: For past habits, use simple past, not past continuous

❌ Incorrect: I used to walked to school.

✅ Correct: I walked to school. / I used to walk to school.

Explanation: Either use simple past or 'used to' with base form, not both
